| Nothing happens when ndxCards is started via Start/Programs/ndxCards/ndxCards. |
| |
ndxCards is probably already running. Check the system tray for the ndxCards™ icon. Beginning with version 1.90 you will see a message to this effect, and the tray icon will flash. Just right click on the icon to see the main menu, or double click to get a blank note card. |
| ndxCards stops with a message - "Security alert: Current user name-1 not same as owner of ndxCards™ repository name-2", and asks for a password. |
| |
The security feature is by design and is intended to limit access ndxCards™ to the person who installed it. The software compares the Windows login-id of the person who installed it with the login-id of the person who is using it. If this is your ndxCards™ data, just hit enter (to signify a blank password, as the software ships with a blank password) to continue.
If you want the ability for others who share the computer to share ndxCards™, get the main menu by right clicking on the icon in the tray, choose Properties and in the tab Shortcuts etc. and uncheck the box that says Enable Password Feature. |
