Any thought to creating a pocket pc version to capture notes on the fly, and then sync them with the main database when connected to the computer?
I'm thinking of the pocket pc as a means of capturing information when and where encountered (which is often when away from the PC), then being able to work with the information at the computer, where papers and presentations are crafted.
Something like this would be a "killer" app.
I have outlining tools on the PPC that are very useful, but leverage the portability and convenience of the PPC with the power and flexibility of the PC version, wow, that would be an awsome app. Especially if you work in the ability to capture images from the phone directly to the notes, think of the possibilities! It would enhance my research and investigation methods tremendously.

I will be writing about release 2.0 in these forums beginning next week. A major reason for the release is the ability to have a Pocket PC (Windows CE) companion. Small changes are being made in the UI so that you can have the note taking ability in the PDA. We will be releasing the desktop version first (beta scheduled for next month) and then the PPC companion. The companion will have the notes part of the software, not the project or the workspace part of the software.

You just made a sale! I have tried just about every outliner/note taking app there ever has been for PPC and palm, but I think your approach may work quite well. In actual practice, I have found that I generally only want to capture while away from my desk, but working with notes and captured material is almost always done at the desktop.
I hope you seriously think about including camera functions, since most devices have them now, and the camera is getting better all the time. I actually use mine for OCR capture in a pinch.
Just knowing that you are actively developing the PPC component is enough to justify a purchase for me. If you need someone willing to beta, just let me know what you need, and If I can deliver, I'll let you know.
I'll send an email once my purchase goes through. Thanks for the fast reply!

Happy to have you aboard as a customer.
The first release on the PPC will be just to provide the existing note card features. We have in the 'lab' the feature to 'write' using 'pen' and were contemplating this as the first PDA only feature, but the photo-capture certainly seems like a good idea and I will throw that in the hopper. Once you have purchased the license, write to us so that you can get access to the private area. You can participate in the preview of release 2.0 and sign up for Beta trials.
